Molecule 01 consists of the pure, single-molecule Iso E Super. Iso E Super is a molecule that floats close to the skin, creating an indefinable aura around the wearer. It is characterized by a cutting-edge cedarwood note with a velvety feel. Perfumer Geza Schoen explains its appeal: "Iso E Super is one of those skin-sexy scents that you want to snuggle into. It's comforting and cocooning." Iso E Super has a distinct break. To the wearer, it appears as if it disappears and then reappears. This is due to the way it binds to receptors in the olfactory system, releasing only slowly to make way for a new charge of the molecule on the receptors. Iso E Super does not exist in nature. It was created in a laboratory at IFF in 1973.
